Internet Tips Add comments
Below are the browser shortcuts & tips that can make your surfing experience easier and faster!
- If you find a web site that you will want to visit again, make a bookmark.In Mozilla Firefox click on the Bookmarks tab and then click on the create bookmark option. You can visit this web site again click on Bookmarks tab and then click on the name of the site on the dropdown menu.In Internet Explorer click on the word Favorites tab and then click on Add to Favorites option. You can visit this web site again click on Favorites tab and then click on the name of the site on the dropdown menu.
- If you want to see a list of all Internet addresses you have typed during this session, click the small down arrow at the right end of the Address bar or press F4. You will see a drop down menu with all the URLs (addresses) you have visited.
- In the Address bar, you can quickly move the cursor back between parts of the address by pressing Ctrl+LEFT ARROW and move forward between parts of the address by pressing Ctrl+RIGHT ARROW.
- To open the page in a new window, when you click on a link, use shift+click. To open it in a new web, use Ctrl+click
- To search for a word or phrase on a Web page, press Ctrl+F to open the Find dialog box.
- You can close the current window by pressing Ctrl+W.
- To open a new file in your browser, press Ctrl+O. A pop up window will open. You can browse through the files on your computer and select the file you want open.
- You can quickly put a shortcut to any Web page on your desktop by right-clicking in the page and then clicking Create Shortcut in Internet explorer.
- To see how any Web page was coded right-click in the page, and then click View Source.
- To display more web content on the screen, you can use Full Screen mode. To enable Full Screen mode, simply click on View tab and select Full screen or press F11.
- To go to your browser home page quickly, press Alt+Home.
- If a page is loading too slowly or you no longer wish to view a page, click the Stop button.
- To reload the current page or to get the most up-to-date version, click the Reload button or press Ctrl+R.
- To find text or phrase within the page you are currently browsing, press Ctrl+F, or click on Edit tab and click on Find.
