I was reading gnaka.com earlier today and I found some great tips on how to increase your click through rate for Adsense. Below are some of the tips:

• Use section targeting for your content so that more relevant ads are served by Adsense. Section targeting can be achieved by using a set of special comments. You can learn more about this on Google Adsense help section
• Place Ads on content rich pages. Write your content with good blending of keywords related to topic. This will not only help in SEO, but also your ads will be highly relevant. And highly relevant ads mean, more CTR.
• Make your ads visible in the first fold of your web page. Statistics have proved that people click on links which are found without scrolling the page.
• Make your ads blend with your content. Ads placed above or between the content will generate more CTR. Make sure that your ad background color and border color is same as your content background color. Make your link color same as other links on the page.
• Leave a minimum of 15 PX horizontal and vertical spaces between your ads and content. This will make your ads stand out. But at the same time they will look part of your content because of the matching colors.
