What are cookies ?
When you open the browser and when you start browsing your internet, the web server place some text files on your computer as cookies. The main purpose of these cookies is to save your preferences as you browse, for future references. If you would like to enable or disable your computer web browser cookies you can do that by following some simple steps but some sites don’t work properly if you disable your browser cookies. Anyhow i will show you how to enable or disable cookies.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox and later version than follow these simple steps to enable or disable cookies from your browser:

  • First open firefox, click on Tools button then Options
  • In the Options window click on Privacy Tab and then click on the check button where on the side it has written’Accept cookies from sies‘.
  • You can also select below upto how much time the cookies you want to keep in your browser, for that in the Keep until box select on of the following options they expire, i close firefox or ask me every time and than click OK.
  • Now restart the browser to execute the changes. To disable the cookies follow the same process as i said above and uncheck the button where on the side it has written ‘Accept cookies from site‘ and than click OK and restart the browser to execute the changes

If you are using Internet Explorer 6.x or later version than follow these below steps to enable or disable cookies from your browser:

  • First open the internet explorer, click on the Tools button then Internet Options
  • In the Internet Options Window click on the Privacy Tab and then click on the Advanced Button.
  • Now to enable the cookies, select the Accept option and for disable check the option Override automatic cookies handling then click on block and restart the browser to execute the changes

  • If your browser indicates that the SSL is expired, it means, the information that will is exchanged between your computer and the server is no longer encrypted. Take this warning seriously and avoid providing sensitive information
