Below are some of the tips which may be useful to make your web conference productive:
- First use appropriate web conference software that you can get with it easily and provides all the tools you need and it is comfortable for all the participants. For example Windows Live, IM, GotoMeeting.
- Be well prepared in advance and make sure the software is compatible, check the internet connection, see that all the participants have enough bandwith for a better conference, etc. Make sure that you are well aware of the commands for the chat software.Send the agenda to all the participants with the presentation slides which are easy to get it the day before.
- Make sure all the participants are aware of this meeting, you can send reminders of meeting details when the meeting is scheduled and again a few hours before it starts. Include all the necessary details such as PowerPoint slides, phone numbers, etc.
- When you are talking with your participants don’t go off -topic and waste valuable time as time is precious for you and for them. So make your conversation by keeping the agenda in mind and make them respond one at a time with the web conference software.
- Keep the conversation moving and keep them engaged in it. Ask your participants questions, opinions or tell them to vote and don’t ask for any off topic like turn off your sounds, talking about a blog/site or any other topic and lose your participants.
