When you type a document in MS Word, MS Excel, Notepad, etc the physical characteristics of the letters typed in that document represents Font. Windows XP has different types of fonts for example:

• Arial ( True Type )
• Arial Black ( True Type )
• Times New Roman ( True Type )
• Verdana ( True Type )
• Alor Normal ( True Type )
• Whimsy TT ( True Type )
• Symath ( True Type )

How to install new fonts in your PC ?
Now first thing you have to make sure before adding new fonts to your PC is to see that it is designed for Windows.

Now follow the instructions as given in below:

First login to your computer with administrative rights and than click on start button and click on Run option and type %windir%\fonts and press OK button.

Now go to File menu and click on Install New Font option, in the drives box select the drives that contains new fonts ( hard drive, CD-drive or Floppy drive ). If you want to install from the network location, than there is a button called Network click on that.

Now select the new fonts and check the option ‘Copy fonts to Fonts folder‘ and press OK button.

For removing fonts in your PC follow the following instructions:

First login to your computer with administrative rights and than click on start button and click on Run option and type %windir%\fonts and press OK button.

Now select the font that you want to remove and press Ctrl key on the keyboard to select more than one font. Now go to File menu and click on Delete option. You will see aprompt ‘Are you sure you want to delete these fonts?‘, press OK button for the process to finish.

Have you ever deleted any file accidentally and then wonder how to get that back? It happened with me many times. I have deleted my files and even emptied my recycle bin.  Luckily, I have found a great tool from a review request that will help recover the deleted files.

Below are some of the tips which may be useful to make your web conference productive:

• First use appropriate web conference software that you can get with it easily and provides all the tools you need and it is comfortable for all the participants. For example Windows Live, IM, GotoMeeting.

• Be well prepared in advance and make sure the software is compatible, check the internet connection, see that all the participants have enough bandwith for a better conference, etc. Make sure that you are well aware of the commands for the chat software.Send the agenda to all the participants with the presentation slides which are easy to get it the day before.

• Make sure all the participants are aware of this meeting, you can send reminders of meeting details when the meeting is scheduled and again a few hours before it starts. Include all the necessary details such as PowerPoint slides, phone numbers, etc.

• When you are talking with your participants don’t go off -topic and waste valuable time as time is precious for you and for them. So make your conversation by keeping the agenda in mind and make them respond one at a time with the web conference software.

• Keep the conversation moving and keep them engaged in it. Ask your participants questions, opinions or tell them to vote and don’t ask for any off topic like turn off your sounds, talking about a blog/site or any other topic and lose your participants.

To install it first insert your Windows XP CD into the drive. The CD will open automatically, if it’s not than go to Start / My Computer and double click the CD-ROM icon.

Now you can see Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP screen, click Perform Additional Tasks and select Browse the CD. In Windows Explorer, double-click the ValueAdd folder, in that click on Microsoft folder, and than click on the Ntbackup folder. Now in that Ntbackup folder double click the file Ntbackup.msi, and Backup Utility will be installed.

• Make sure your iPod is set to output the right kind of TV signal for your TV.

How to Record Your Podcast:

When recording a Podcast some technical glitches can make your podcast ruin an otherwise you can make a perfect podcast. So before recording your podcast record few sample recordings to test the software, adjust volume levels and to make sure that everything is fine. You must set the sample rates for your recording. If you are using Audacity for example, click File > Preferences, then click the Quality tab. If you’re just recording voice, anything higher than 44.1KHz and 16-bit sampling is overkill for most noncommercial purposes. If your podcast is heavily into music factors, however, consider higher rates, but the resulting file will be larger.If you like to incorporate sound effects in your podcast you can do that. To import sound effects or intro and outro music with Audacity, you need to first record your podcast, then locate the audio on your computer’s hard drive, and finally bring the audio into the program by clicking on the “import audio” tab in the project menu. Many people also like to incorporate sound effects into their podcasts. It’s easy to edit your sound file Whether you are using Audacity, Propaganda, or ePodcast Producer, , it works the same way in both programs.

To find stretches of silence, just look for areas in the voice track where the waveform becomes an almost straight line. Now take your cursor and highlight the region that you want to remove after that verify that the section you have highlighted is the one you want to remove, you can verify it by hitting play and listen to it. After the verification you think this is the file you want to delete press Delete.
